Remember this, when you step over my door sill, you’ve been raised. You know the difference between right and wrong. Do right. Don’t let anybody else raise you and make you change. And remember this, you can always come home.’

I decided to wash my car. The quarter machine was out of order that should have been my first clue. I went across the street to the gas station to turn my dollars into quarters, the lady would only exchange one dollar for me. Which should have been my second clue. I should just go home and forget about the whole car wash idea. But I was not going to give up that easy. I needed a dollar fifty so I searched my car for any loose change. WallA! There they were two bright and shiny quarters under my seat for a rainy day! So I plunk my quarters in and start hosing down my car then I flip it to the pink foamy wash and lathered up my car! Then the timer starts beeping at me that I have little time left before I need to put more quarters in! But I was only a third of the way done with washing down my car. So I start to run and scrub my car as fast as I can so I can rinse before my time is up! Then it happens. My time was up and I have a foamy pink car..... Now I'm irritated I'm out of quarters the lady across the street won't help me out and the change machine is out of order. I'm left with no choice but to drive my foamy pink car thru the Burger King drive thru and ask if they can break my paper dollar into quarters. As I drive away I can hear them laughing at me. Well I have learned my lesson I will have no less than 5 bucks in quarters next time I want a wash my car. Good thing I can laugh at myself. And I'm glad there was back streets I could take so I could avoid the main drag where people would see me the most. Oh and I'm glad the Burger King drive thru was not busy. lol...

Baby ducks! So sweet

Shelby Kicking back at the Spring Fair she was pretty content. Such a good baby.

The girls had just gotten off the ride and they were so excited so precious. It was Cece's first time and she was screaming. Millie was cracking up.

So I thought I would go back in time a little..

Maliyah with her great granny. The one she gets her stubborness from. Not always such a bad thing. This was Millie's first birthday
This is my mom. Millie is about 5 months old here.

Millie's grandma Nita. Who Millie gets her fashion sense from. There's a little princess in all of us right!

Maliyah my first born. I was 22 years old. She was just about an hour old here. What a life changing event this was. I was a single mom facing a whole new life. This was the beginning of my new life. It would challenge me in ways I never would have imagined. It's hard to be the sole support and protector of a little life. They trust that you will do everything right. You make sure they are not harmed that they are taken care of when they are sick and will always have a roof over their head food on the table and hugs and kisses for their boo boo's. You have to always put yourself last even when you are puking your guts out you have to be ready to make breakfast and go to work. You have to screen every one you let into your life to make sure they will not hurt your little one when you are not looking. She is my pride and joy the one who could bring me to tears make me laugh or frustrate me to no end. She's stubborn just like her Great grandma Doris but not to the same degree. She's a princess just like her grandma Nita was. And thoughtful Like her Grandma Sue. She loves little things like her momma. She's been my constant companion. She was my shopping buddy my movie pal. When I wanted to get in shape she was the one in the jogging stroller yelling faster mom faster! Millie was the one that told me I looked pretty when I was getting ready for a night out with the girls. Or would snap a picture of mommy when she wanted a new myspace photo. Some times wise before her years but yet still a little girl. Always ready with a hug and a smile. We've been through allot together I guess you could say. But to her is was normal.

She is five months old here in 2000

11 months old 2001
